I'm a mom of two beautiful boys, art teacher, NHS/NJHS/Art Club advisor, baker, and travel enthusiast. This is my 16th year as an art educator at South Seneca CSD in Ovid, NY. I can say I have taught at every grade level - PreK through 12 - and truly understand the developmental differences between each grade level. I currently teach art in the High School and being the only art teacher at that level, I have the privilege of teaching various media and specialized classes. I am constantly searching out new instructional techniques and technologies to enhance the learning of myself and my students. As an artist, I enjoy working with many different media, but I specialize in printmaking and ceramics. You will find that my art incorporates a limited palette of bright colors and strong contrast or values and forms. I lean toward creating symmetrical and balanced works of art. My creative exploration is what challenges me the most, as I sometimes struggle to find inspiration. But once I have an idea, there is no stopping me from creating. Unfortunately, I do not get to create as much as I would like, due to professional and personal time constraints. I find that much of my artwork centers on my sons - creating things for them.
